Alice VanDonkelaar's Obituary
Mrs. E. Alice VanDonkelaar, age 87, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. Alice was born September 20, 1926 in Chicago to the late, Steve & Theresa (Beluzar) Madasy. On September 21, 1946 she married Wilford "Bill"? VanDonkelaar at Sacred Heart Church in Muskegon. Alice was a cashier in her early years and she sold at the Muskegon Flea Market in her later years. Loved Las Vegas in the 60's and 70's. She loved "TEXAS TEA"?, bingo and her family. Alice is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill; two sisters Rose Goven, and Helen Chase; children, Sandra (John) Pfenning, Linda (Dan) Hanes, Steve (Deb) VanDonkelaar, Fred (Lori) VanDonkelaar; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by two sons, Dale and David; a grandson, Danny Hanes; two sisters, May Sietsema and Julia Gundy. All who knew and loved Alice are invited to share memories and celebrate her life at a memorial to be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Lakeside Eagles, 2355 W.
