Arlyn M. Hichue's Obituary
Arlyn M. "Shade Tree"? Hichue, was born in Muskegon on February 22, 1948 to M.L. "Huck"? and Lula Hichue and passed away on June 5, 2014 age 66. Arlyn is survived by his wife of 44 years, Britt; children, Shawn (Tom) Phillips, Scott (Kaleigh Stuk) Hichue, Patsy (Dave) Craven; grandchildren, Stephanie and DJ Craven; four brothers, Darry (Carolyn), Aaron (Diane), Karry, and Rex; his mother-in- law, Ruth Bostrom, brothers-in-law, John (Etta) Bostrom, Don (Jane) Bostrom, Henry Bostrom, and Mike Bostrom; sisters-in-law, Penny Hichue, Karen Bostrom and Sheryl Bostrom; several nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Huck and brother, Al Hichue and father-in-law, Erik Bostrom. Arlyn worked the past 9 years for Mercy Health Partners as a Lab Courier and spent 13 years working for EPC. He was a longtime member and past Chief of the Vikings and a 20 years member of Lakeside Vets Club. He spent many years as an umpire for the Muskegon West Little League and City of Muskegon League. He enjoyed camping, bowling, golfing and classic cars along working with the Big Reds Security. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held starting at 3:00 p.m. at Hagar's Hideaway on Thursday, June 12, 2014 and continuing at the Vikings Linne Lodge #57. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Arlyn's medical expenses.
