Arthur L. Beall's Obituary
Arthur Lucian “Art” Beall, age 83, passed away at home, with his family at his side on Saturday April 4th, 2026, very early in the morning. He was born in St. Joseph, Michigan to Everett and Hazel Beall on October 12, 1942, and lived and loved in Michigan his entire life. Art was an extremely hard worker and only worked at two places his entire life, Campbell, Wyatt & Cannon and Eagle Ottawa. Art was a man that knew that family was the very most important thing in life. When he was 19, he met the love of his life, Karen Buck and from that point on, they were inseparable. They were married November 1, 1965, and truly had a love for the ages. They began a legacy that day, and today that family has five generations that have all been able to be together. Art loved deeply and was loved back by anyone who ever met him. His house was always open to everyone and he always said, “If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault!” He was an avid hunter, and the woods were his favorite place, the place where he got to hang out with his best friend Al Beach, and many of his family members. He loved fishing and spending time out on his boat. He was also the family mechanic. If it could be fixed, you took it to him for fixing. He also loved family vacations and camping. Some of his favorite times were just spent sitting around a big fire and laughing and relaxing with his family. Art was a great husband, an amazing father and a father-figure to other family members, especially his nephew Dan Jolman. Dan looked to him as the best father he ever knew. Because he was so loyal, he had other friends that were friends for life, often called brothers-from-another-mother, Don Dewesplaire and Dan Hoffman.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Beall, his daughter Sherri Barr and son Steve Beall. Also, his grandchildren, James Barr and Dakota Beall. Along with his Great grandchildren, Ciarra (Isaac) Moore, Alex Barr and Bryson Beall and his Great, Great grandson, Franklin Oliver Moore. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and their families.
Art was preceded in death by many family members that will be happy to welcome him home. His parents, Everett and Hazel Beall. Brothers, Earl, Clare and Ernest and one sister, Gertrude Lewis. ‘Uncle’ Larry Reiley, one of his favorite people. His In-Laws Lora and Alvin Buck, Thomas and Maxine Buck, Linda Powles, Kathleen and Ray Romero and his very special friend Dan Hoffman.
The Celebration of Art’s Life is to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11am to 3pm at Living Life Church at 2175 Marquette St. Muskegon, MI. There will be a service in the Chapel starting at 11am with a luncheon following in the Gymnasium.
