Arthur William Britton's Obituary
Arthur William Britton age 90 was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 14, 1935, and passed away on July 20, 2025. Art was preceded in death by his wife Arlene in 2022 along with a granddaughter and two sisters, Betty and Carrie. Survivors include his three children, Dawn (Kevin) VanEtten, Kay (Robert) Carter, Arthur Charles (Joni) Britton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Art started his career working as a brick mason, then went to retire from SAPPI after over 30 years of service. He and Arlene were members of the West Michigan Boot Scooters where he served as the first president of their organization. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping along with being a master wood carver. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. He will be interred next to his wife Arlene in Laketon Township Cemetery.
