Barbara A. Shellgren-Perez's Obituary
Barbara A. Shellgren-Perez (Schutter) went to join her mother on March 6, 2014 in Grand Rapids, Michigan after a long illness. Her mother preceded her in death on February 26, 2014. Barbara was born in Muskegon on October 16, 1936 to the late Glenn E. Schutter, Jr. and Evelyn (Witham) Schutter. She grew up in Muskegon. She is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Charlotte Fisher and Glen Schutter, Jr. both of Muskegon, a sister, Karen (Ed) Keller of California, and a brother, Paul (Sandee) Schutter, of Mesa, Arizona; two daughters, and three sons, Walter (Barbara) Shellgren, of Texas, Matthew Shellgren, of Muskegon, Michigan, Jody Shellgren of Pennsylvania, Victoria (Bob) Essner, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mark Shellgren, of California; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Barbara had a very large family that numbered between 150 "? 200. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, a son Stephen Shellgren, grandson Forest Shellgren, both of Pennsylvania; also several other family members including three brothers, David, Stephen, and Walter Schutter. A Celebration of her mother Evelyn Schutter and her life will be held on June 2, at the Twin Lake Community Center in Twin Lake, Michigan with burial following at Twin Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be direct to the family to help with expenses.
