Barbara A. Caswell's Obituary
Barbara Ann Caswell, age 86, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born in Muskegon on January 16, 1932 to Arthur and Margaret Brown. Barbara is survived by her two sons, Arthur (Mary) Caswell and Scott Caswell, both of Muskegon; granddaughter, Cassidy Caswell of Muskegon; four sisters, Priscilla Ehlke of Montague, Sally (David) Baker of Grand Rapids, MI, Nancy (Dr. Paul) Cooley of Gowan, MI and Joan (David) Lutchka of Grass Lake, MI; two brothers, George (Edith) Brown and Professor James Brown, both of Montague; brother-in-law, Jack Lipka of Montague; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Flora Lipka.
Barbara graduated from Montague High School in 1950 and then attended Muskegon Business College. She was a member of Dalton Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. She had worked at the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce for eight years. Barbara enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and reading.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Viking Lodge, 3132 Lakeshore Dr., in Muskegon. Memorial contributions can be made to the Great Lakes Burn Camp or the Ruth Ann Matthews Scholarship Fund c/o the Viking Lodge.
