Barbara "Pal" P. Curry's Obituary
Barbara "Pal" Phyllis Curry, age 85, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on October 7, 1933 to Roy and Violet Wheeler. Barbara is survived by her sons, George (Donna) Nichols of Twin Lake and Roy "Dewey" Curry of Grand Rapids, MI; 5 grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Hoppe, Heather (Robert) Howard, Joshua (Beth) Nichols, Lucas Curry and Ceara Curry; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Tim (Fay) Wheeler of Sand Lake, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert "Bob" Curry; son, Charles Nichols; 2 sisters and a brother. Barbara had retired from Smith Industries. Pal enjoyed traveling with Bob and family and friends, including trips to Hawaii, Caribbean cruises, trips to Las Vegas, as well as traveling in her motor home and spending time with her dog, Fancy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:30 PM at Living Waters Wesleyan Church, 0-1428 Leonard St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. Visitation with the family will be held a half hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, her favorite charity.
