Barbara M. Manoski's Obituary
Barbara May Manoski, age 82 passed away 12/10/20. She was born to Edna and Arthur Sokoloski in Big Rapids Michigan. She was Mom, mumma, Barb, Barbie, Grammy, Grandma, GG, Auntie, Auntie Q to her family and friends. She loved deserts, gambling, shopping with Nor, playing cards with Joanie, Luci and Sharon, hanging with family and friends. Oh, and eating chicken at the Pizza Ranch. In her free time she knitted dish rags, played word cookies, worked her word puzzles, watched four Hallmark channels and the old westerns. Barbara was a long time employee and retired from Bell Telephone/AT&T where she was a telephone operator. She moved to Spring Lake in 1979. She didn't stay still for long and became what she would call a "Domestic Engineer" aka Janitor at Spring Lake schools where she would retire for a second time. She then moved to Muskegon.
Barbara was the youngest of five children. She is survived by her two sisters Helen (Lum) Critchfield and Ruth (Ken) Lane. Five children Leanne (PITA, Pickles, PQ) Manoski, Darlene (John) Mooney, Steve (Karen) Manoski, Gary (Cindy) Manoski, Jean (Jeff) Baumunk, her Hedgehog Addie, seven grandchildren , six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and various four legged grand animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edna and Arthur Sokoloski, her brothers Chuck (Gina) Sokoloski and Jim (Shari) Sokoloski.
Per mumma's request there will be no services.
Her quick wit, her smile, her love of all will live forever in our memories and forever in our hearts.
