Barbara Jean Phillips' Obituary
Barbara Jean Phillips, age 84 was born in Muskegon, Michigan on May 8, 1937, to the late Harold E and Aleath V. (Franks) German and passed away on February 15, 2022. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Frank "Tex" Phillips; two sisters, Yvonne Morrow and Sandy Griswold. Survivors include her children, Frank (Pauline) Phillips Jr., Dave (Donna) Phillips, Pamela (Chip) Gould, Janet Eskola, Robin (Dave) Umlor; sister, Peggy (Art) Griswold; two brothers-in-law, Dave Morrow and Harold Griswold; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Barbara was retired from Aramark Food Service at Grand Valley State University. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed visiting the Little River Casino. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Ravenna American Legion Sherman Moore Post #297, located at 3590 Conklin Street, Ravenna, Michigan 49451. Interment will be next to her husband Frank in Ravenna Township Cemetery.
