Growing up, my Auntie Beth (my dad's sister) was always beautiful to me - so pretty, well groomed, and fashionably dressed. She seemed good at everything she did, and was the inspiration (with her mom) behind my love of cooking. In later years, we spent some marvelous hours, mostly at the cabin, but some at her home, and when she visited California. I was able to visit her in Florida too and could she ever get around in that golf cart! We laughed, played games, shared our love of good food, decorating, and small towns. Auntie Beth was so artistic and made simply stunning things. I looked forward every year to her hand painted birthday and greeting cards, and still have some of her baskets, pottery and Christmas items.
She leaves behind a great legacy. I'll miss her very much and think of her, and her smile, so often.
