Beverly Ann Faino's Obituary
Beverly "Bev" Ann Faino, age 87, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at a local care facility. She was born on July 25, 1937, in Fremont, Michigan, to the late Frank E. and Lenore M. (Hyatt) Morse. Bev married Archie Anderson in 1954, and together, they had five daughters. She then married Bert Faino, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2010.
While attending high school in Fremont, Bev waited tables at her parents' family-owned Dairy Bar in Fremont. She later worked as a medical office assistant for Dr. Harris and Dr. Grasman in Muskegon throughout her working years while raising her five girls. After her retirement, Bev and her husband, Bert, enjoyed snow-birding during the winter months down in Florida for many years.
Bev enjoyed going on casino trips to play the slot machines (especially to Little River Casino), and in her younger years, she especially loved going on the annual girl's casino trip to Traverse City with her daughters, sister, granddaughters, and niece. She was also a big country music fan who loved going out dancing and bowling at Sherman Bowling Alley in her more active years.
Bev will be fondly remembered by those who knew her best for her quick and funny wit and fun-loving attitude, and who would always be honest and tell you like it is.
Bev will be lovingly remembered and missed by her four daughters: Debra Anderson, Pam Dobberstein, Jill (Ray) Bradford, and Vicki (Greg) Ferris; her five stepchildren and their families: Michael (Cassie) Faino, Mark (Joan) Faino, Tommy (Nancy) Faino, Debra (Denny) Finney, and Evelyn Hibbs; her sister, Melodee Baumgart; 13 grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, and Jeremiah (Michele) Anderson, Amber and Ashley Dobberstein, Heather and Melissa Voiles, Michael Redmon, Amanda (Dan) Hunt, Emily (Tylor) Buckner, Steve (Karin) and Ryan (Tiffany) Ferris, and Michelle (Nathaniel) FitzGerald; 17 great-grandchildren; her niece, Jaime (Michael) Nienhouse; nephew, Jason (Maria) Baumgart; several great-nieces and a great-nephew; and close family friend, Jimmy Pickel, who was like a son to her.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, Bert, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Lynn Voiles; great-grandson, Andre "Dre" Garner; granddaughter, Heidi Elzinga (Pickel); great-grandchildren, Sabrina Goosen (Gaines) and Dakota Goosen; brother, Frank Morse, Jr.; her first husband and father of her children, Archie Anderson; brother-in-law, Dale Baumgart; granddaughter-in-law, Elisa Anderson; and several extended family members.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering for Bev's friends and family will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Downtown Muskegon Eagles, Aerie #668, 621 West Western Ave.
