Carola M. Anderson's Obituary
Carola Maria Hohn-Anderson was the daughter of a traveling sales Family who came from Bavaria. Her Mother Kathrina Hohn was a well versed and educated women in public speaking for her father and brother in the sales of hand blown glass. The family traveled all over Germany and sold their unique crafts in Public Schools and very often for hired shows. Carolas Mother met Carolas Father, Phillip Kreuz, while traveling and got to know each other, because the traveling people kept to a small circle. Unfortunately Carolas Mother and Fathers relationship suffered in time, and Carola never got to meet her Father. Carola was born on May 3rd, 1946 in Schlusselfeld Germany in what was a very difficult time in Germany right after the war, and the rath of the evil hand of Hitler. With very little money Carola was born with the help of a mid wife in a buggy carried by a horse. Carola continued her life in Germany being raised by her Grand Parents while her Mother continued to work for the Family. Carola was not a healthy child and suffered many diseases, Including Tuberculosis and Scarlet Fever. Her Family spent a lot of time in the Black Forest, which is considered a healing area, to heal her. She did not have a easy childhood and earned her education from traveling from School to School, reading many books, and living in-between their small three generational home built by Sheppard in the small village of Kleinsteinach Germany. Traveling made her a tough woman though, and her Grand Parents and Family taught her many great values. Both of Carolas Grandparents died when she was 13 years old and changed her life dramatically. She was forced to grow up quickly and helped her Mother raise her two younger sisters, and often helped her Mother haul heavy steal to earn extra money for the family. With very little comfort, Carola finished School and began Schooling to become a Nurse. Her primary salvation was her Uncle Max, her Mothers baby Brother. Uncle Max became a very loved gentle man to the entire family for many generations. Never marrying himself and a big influence on Carolas life. He is still thought of today. Carola looked up to him as many of us still do. In 1967 Carola met her husband Ronald Paul Anderosn whom she met while he was stationed overseas in Germany for the U.S Military. Ronald was born and raised in the Montague Michigan area, and after meeting only after six months, Ronald and Carola were married in Germany. Ending her brief career as a Nurse, Carola continued being a Mom and Traveled all over the U.S. and Europe with her Husband and three children Franklin Robert Andeson, Connie Anderson-Moore and Robin Sue Anderson-Fessenden. Ronald served Twenty Years for his country before he retired from the U.S. Army in 1986. They then bought a Farm House in Montague Michigan, where Ronald took on a second career for eighteen years as a correctional guard for the State of Michigan. In 2004, Ronald retired for The State of Michigan, and he and Carola then moved to Elizabethtown Kentucky to enjoy their retirement. Unfortunately Ronald developed Bladder Cancer 6 mos into retirement and passed away in 2006. They were married for Thirty Eight Years the year of his death. In 2009 Carola fell ill with Dementia and was moved back to Twin Lake Michigan in 2011 to be in the care of her children. She passed away on Thursday January 17th, 2019 in the afternoon in her home in Twin Lake Michigan. Before her death, Carola requested that everyone who will love her and remember her, to remember her the way she was. She believed that the human body is just a shell to the living spirit that is inside and that we shall reunite again in the house of our Lord. She will be layed to rest next to her husband, and the love of her life, at North Cemetery in Ferry Michigan. Carola is survived by her two sisters, One Brother, her three children, 15 Grand Children, 10 Great Grand Children, and Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her Great Grand Daughter Bristol Marie.
