Carolyn Lawrence's Obituary
Carolyn Lawrence, age 74, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 1, 1952, to Colbert and Mattie Burt. Carolyn is survived by her son, Dwan Watts, Sr. of Holland, MI; sister, Genever Hallum of Detroit, Michigan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Colbert and Frankie Burt and by a sister, Marion Palmer. Carolyn had worked at Sears, D&W, Hallmark and Best Buy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12 Noon at Shoreline Memorial Services Chapel, 137 E. Laketon Ave. in Muskegon. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethesda Baptist Church of Muskegon.
