Cynda was a 1969 graduate of Fruitport High School and the 1969 FHA Homemaker of the year. She always wanted to be a homemaker. Cooking, baking, & sewing for her family became one of her passions. She loved raising four children and visiting with her ten grandchildren, their spouses, and her new great granddaughter Annabelle Shupe. She started learning about computers in high school and while working as a student at Muskegon Savings & Loan. She then took a position at Bank of Lansing (across from the state Capitol) while Doug was finishing college at MSU. She worked in Savings Control balancing all the branches to the main computer. Later she had a word processing business. She quickly transitioned from desktop computers to laptops, tablets and I-phones. She married Doug on September 5, 1969, in Broadway Baptist church in Muskegon where she had earlier accepted Jesus as her Savior. She had multiple health issues especially with her heart for the last three years. She was aware that her time might be limited but was making plans for a family vacation to Tennessee in the fall and had several sewing projects lined up. Nevertheless, she was ready to go to be with the Lord and it was a blessing she passed away peacefully in her sleep. For more about how Cynda lived read Proverbs Chapter 31.
