Dale L. Strayer's Obituary
Dale Lee Strayer, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. He was born in Muskegon on March 8, 1942 to Clyde and Nellie Strayer. Dale is survived by his 2 brothers, Wayne (Bette) Strayer and Ron (Vicki) Strayer; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Carlton, Roy and Gerald Strayer; 3 sisters, Myrna Hodges, Arlene Leatherman and Shirley Strayer in infancy. Dale was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had retired from 41st Avenue Liquors in California in 1997, moving back to his hometown of Hesperia, Michigan. Dale was a member of the West Michigan Street Rod Association. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, domino player and a great storyteller. As per his wishes, no services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice, Wounded Warrior Project, or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
