Dan R. Cassidy's Obituary
Dan Robert Cassidy age 73 was born on November 26, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Patrick and Mariea I. (Kammerer) Cassidy and passed away at home on April 28, 2023. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Cassidy and a sister, Jeanne Blackburn. Dan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lana Cassidy; daughter, Sarah J. (Cory) Daniell; grandsons, Lincoln and Connor Daniell; sisters, Sharon Whitaker and Sara Karnavas.
Dan was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion Algot Johnson Post #69. He retired from Trinity Health Lakeshore Family Medicine.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Road, with Pastor Bill Uetricht officiating. Visitation will be held, also at the church, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Veterans Inc., The Harbor Hospice Foundation, or Big Lake humane Society. Dan will be interred next to his brother and mother in Oakwood Avenue Cemetery, in Ottawa, Illinois.
