Daniel J. Damvelt's Obituary
Daniel James Damvelt, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born in Grand Haven on September 21, 1943, to Marine and Drussilla Damvelt. Daniel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma; 2 children, LeAnn (Roger) Gould of Nunica and James (Jenny) Damvelt of Spring City, TN; 1 stepchild, Linda (Johnnie) Hawkins of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Giangrande of FL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Larry VanNoordwyk and by 5 siblings.
Daniel was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Coopersville. He enjoyed woodworking and garden tractor pulling.
A memorial service for Dan will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 300 E. Cleveland Street East, Coopersville, Michigan 49404 on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joel Hoyer officiating.
