David Byron MacKay's Obituary
David Byron MacKay, age 73, was born on June 4, 1953, and passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2026. David was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Bertha Kristas; his daughters, Gina Yhamel and Nanci Graves; grandsons, Jacob Yhamel and Jordan Brezinski; son-in-law, Keith Sokolowski; siblings, Patti, Jerry, Kathy, Dan, Doug, Sally and nephew, Trever McWilliams. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly (Justin Workman) Sokolowski, Courtney (Rod Brezinski) MacKay; grandchildren, Tasha and Kyle Graves, Elex and Ashley Sokolowski, Alexis and Adrianna MacKay, Destany and Bryce Yhamel, Andrea and Brooke Brezinski; nine great-grandkids, Emrie, Violet, Bentley, Novalea, Lane, Eliana, Leyton, Ella and Gunner; siblings, Mike, Buddy and Tim MacKay; his former spouses, Elizabeth and Donna; along with many very special nieces and nephews.
David retired from Dupont Conoco as an over-the-road truckdriver after more than 30 years of service. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held.
