Diane Spencer Carlson, 65, of Pentwater, MI, formerly of St. Johns, MI, passed away at the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Residence in Muskegon, MI on March 23rd 2024. She went peacefully surrounded by her loved ones following a nine-and- Read Obituary
Diane brought so many laughs and smiles to our family. She will be forever remembered.

Diane and Mark, my NMU friends from 1977. Diane was my suitemate, first year of college, along with Ann S., Linda C., Carol O. Mark was the long haired "older" guy across the hall, along with Bob. I didn't realize Mark and Diane had come over a short time, to "like" each other:)

Many friends, Tim (aka Gwinn), Phil, Ron etc. Looking back to that time, Diane was the surrogate mother to all of us.
20 years ago, we reunited when Mark and Diane moved back to Michigan, knowing where I was from, she asked around until someone knew me. I was thrilled she found me! I enjoyed the times we had.
I did not return for the winter semester, 1978, the girls made a memory book for me. This is a passage Diane may have written, I'm not sure if it is her hand writing.
What about you, what about me?
Two years from now, where will we be?
Each of us gone our separate ways, lost in the headlong passage of days.
Extending the minutes before good bye, and for a gentle moment in time, take what pleasure we can find.
