To the family of my Dear Friend Don, You wore many hats during the time when we first met (abt.1984). You took on the role as a mentor to my young son, showed him how to dress neatly for church including his tie!! My daughter Kari felt the love of your family. Recently she told me she felt like Don was a good influence for a father. I'm not saying they always got along 🙂. Don and my oldest daughter butted heads a few times (for instance when pitching a tent w/a screen room). He was welcomed by my parents for his kindness. When my dad was going through Radiation ( I was working) and Don brought my folks back home from Muskegon. When Don chose to move on to a new adventure (we all felt some loss), he was still considered a part of our family. I'd like to mention another side of Don that was enjoyable to watch, that being his racing days. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be at his service to say goodbye. I so missed not hearing from Don this month on my birthday! Every other special holiday and his birthday will come and go, but (I will remember his friendship). Thank you Micki.
