Donna M. Miller's Obituary
Donna passed away in the early morning of January 6th, 2026, after many years of declining health. Donna was born June 7, 1959, in Muskegon, MI to her late parents, August Karl and Donna Marie (Point) Miller.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, brothers David Miller, Herman Miller, Douglas Miller, Gordon Miller, August Miller, Robert Miller, and Larry Miller.
Survived by siblings Fred (Sherry) Miller, Joyce (Tim) Bolema, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna spent many years working for Meijer, in Housekeeping at local hotels, and perhaps her most cherished job was as a newspaper carrier for the Muskegon Chronicle. Donna always stayed active and carved her own path. She enjoyed her privacy and exploring the world around her and was proud to be from the little neighborhood of Lakeside. She often could be found taking a drive to local parks or Pere Marquette and enjoying the outdoor scenery around her.
Donna was a collector of many things, but none more than her familial memories. Before the digital era, Donna had a camera always in hand and loved taking pictures of all her family. She was an expert on family history and could rattle off any detail, no date or name existed that she couldn’t recall at a moment’s notice.
Donna was a complex woman with a fierce independence; she built a community around herself with those she felt safe and seen by. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who treated Donna with love and compassion and extended her grace throughout her life. A private gathering is to be held at a later date.
