Dorcas Sharon Leverence's Obituary
Dorcas Sharon (Wallace) Leverence took her last step here to walk with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on streets of gold in her heavenly home. She passed away on January 5, 2025.
Dorcus was born to the late Howard and Leora (Millis) Leverence on November 13, 1942, in Fremont, Michigan, Gerber Hospital. She is survived by two siblings, Rebecca, and James.
Later in life she worked at Gerber Hospital in many fields, as a Respiratory Therapist, ER assistant, and ambulance driver. She then worked for 6 ½ years for a doctor in Twin Lake, Michigan. She attended Muskegon Community College and got her License Practical Nursing degree. She loved working in the nursing field.
She enjoyed needle work, being a stained-glass teacher, and a ceramic teacher, she also loved working with wood and building. She helped build a log cabin home, from the first log cut down until finished and lived there for 35 years before moving to Wolf Lake, Michigan. She loved gardening and always had a nice yard.
There wasn't much she couldn't do. She also loved reading, fishing and hunting. Also surviving are her children, Kenneth and Renae (Meeuwenburg) Wallace, Cindy (Wallace) & Jack Bultman, Robin (Wallace) & Bryan Jahr, and a son Wade Wallace; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her maternal grandparents Roy & Amy Millis, paternal grandparents, William & Ann Leverence, her parents, two sisters Anita, and Roberta, who died in infancy. Dorcus is finally pain free and at peace in the presence of the Precious Lord. She is now visiting with loved ones who also loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served Jesus with their whole heart and soul.
Her Lord said, "I will go and prepare a place for you". According to her wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
