Dorothy Ann Bowen's Obituary
Dorothy Ann "Skip" Bowen, age 84 was born on November 19, 1939, in Whitehall, Michigan to the late Eddie and Arlene (Lundquist) Whiting and passed away at home under the loving care of her family and Harbor Hospice. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Bowen; a daughter, Janet (Binns) Hill; granddaughter, Jamie (Hill) Lauterberg; brother, Charles Whiting, and brother-in-law Charles (Chuck) LaFever, husband to Sandra LaFever. Survivors include three children, Lee Ann Peterson, Thomas Binns, Judith (Dennis Mikkelson) Binns; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandra LaFever, and Judy Whiting; nephews, James (Barb) LaFever, Gerald "Nick" LaFever; niece, Tammy (Brian) Dahlstrom.
Skip was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a retired seamstress who enjoyed baking, knitting, crochet, and spending time with her family. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later. Dororthy and her husband Gary will be inurned together in Oak Grove Cemetery, Montague.
