Douglas Jay Schelske's Obituary
Douglas Jay Schelske, age 25, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He was born in Muskegon on April 23, 1991 to Douglas and Lori Jo (Clark) Schelske. Doug is survived by his mother, Lori Jo Schelske of Muskegon; sisters, Jillian (Frank) Durante of Grand Haven, Jessica Artibee of Whitehall; brother, Jason (Carrie) Zwart of Twin Lake; fianc?, Haley Tanner of Muskegon whom he loved dearly, and by her parents Ken and Lorna Tanner; nieces and nephews, Caynon, Madix and Adell Artibee and Javin Zwart; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Schelske in 2007. Doug was a 2009 graduate of Whitehall High School. He was a game enthusiast and pod cast author of Next Level. Doug loved to play the drums. He was a very neat, clean and tidy person who enjoyed making people laugh with his animated stories. People were drawn to Doug and he always left an impression on those he met. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Don Ray VFW Post 8846, located at 1061 Witham Road in North Muskegon.
