Earl D. Traxler's Obituary
Mr. Earl D. Traxler, age 84, passed away in the comforts of his home after a long illness on February 12, 2014. He retired in 1978 from the City of Muskegon Heights as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Earl was a past member of the Fruitport Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting with the boys and spending time with the grandchildren in the summer at his cabin in White Cloud. Earl is survived by five sons, James Traxler of FL, Earl (Carla) Traxler, Jr. of Muskegon, Randy (Mona) Traxler of Interlochen, MI , John (Garlinda) Traxler of Copemish, MI and Chuck (Connie) Traxler of FL; three daughters, Etta (John) Bostrom of Muskegon, Jane (Donald) Bostrom of Hesperia and Luanne (Fred) Hammond of Muskegon. He is also survived by his extended family, Richard (Leigh Ann) Griswold, Steve (Ruth) Griswold, Greg (Kathy) Griswold, Marci Siegel, Dr. James (Jan) Griswold and Sue Griswold; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; parents; brother, Bert and sister, Rose. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Shoreline Memorial Services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please consider donations to Mercy VNS & Hospice or Senior Resources of West Michigan.
