Earnest "Ernie" L. Smith's Obituary
Earnest "Ernie" Leroy Smith, age 81, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born in Midland, Michigan on December 18, 1939, to Melvin and Elsia Smith. Earnie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Matilda; daughter, Amy Smith; stepdaughter, Brenda Pryczynski; 5 step-grandchildren, Kendra, Ken and Kristine Pryzynski, Michelle Rockwell and Shawna Rockwell; 2 step- great-grandchildren, Charlotte Pryczynski and Jeremy Rockwell; sister, Marilyn (Francis) Johnson; 2 brothers, Donald (Ruth) Smith and Roger (Jill) Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters and a brother. Ernie had retired from Lift-Tech of Holland. Earnie was a member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church and of Farm Power Antique Club.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, 1188 Evanston Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be an hour before service time at the church. Burial will be in Crystal Valley, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to Evanston Avenue Baptist Church.
