Edward R. Frye's Obituary
Edward R. Frye, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was born in Yale, Michigan to Ray and Hazel Frye. Ed is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma; 5 children, Debra (George) Guba, John Frye, William (Karol) Frye, Patrick (Cathi) Frye and Michael (Angela) Frye; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Frye; 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Kay (James) Patmos, Trish (Charles) Moschel and Myra (Edward) Brennan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Earl Duncan; 2 sisters-in-law, Susan and brother-in-law, Ed Gerrow, and Pauline Frye; great-granddaughter, Haven Monroe Mullett.
Ed and Wilma lived in Fruitport for more than 25 years. He was a retired tool and die maker. Ed was a very talented woodworker and part of the woodworker's guild. He loved to listen to old country music and sit on his front porch while visiting with friends and family. He walked with the Lord and was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church for many years.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 12 Noon at Lakeshore Baptist Church, 17306 Church Hill Street in Grand Haven. Visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM to service time on Friday. Burial at Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport. Memorial contributions can be made to Lakeshore Baptist Church.
