Elizabeth Anne Gruizinga's Obituary
Elizabeth Anne Gruizinga, daughter of Robert Lewis Eggleston and Elizabeth Jane Eggleston, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 15th, 2026. Bethanne, as everyone called her, or simply, BA, will be remembered over a cup of strong coffee by her beloved siblings: Bob Eggleston, Ted Eggleston, Mary Baxter, and John Eggleston.
Family and friends will remember Bethanne for her generous heart and her ability to light up every room she walked into. An accomplished educator and beloved teacher, she dedicated her career to advocating for her students inside and outside of the classroom. If there was ever a student in need, Bethanne was one of the first and loudest voices who would go to bat.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. Her daughter, Taylor Gruizinga, and son, Brandt Gruizinga, will forever cherish the brightness she brought to their lives and the unwavering love she bestowed on them each day. The family requests that you commemorate Bethanne’s memory in the only true way she would have wanted…with a long hike in the woods or a beautiful day spent at the beach.
