Elmar "Ron" Smith's Obituary
Elmar "Ron" Smith, age 76 was born in Arkansas on August 2, 1942 and passed away on July 27, 2019. Ron is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sheila Smith; children, Sherry (Robert) Bramer, Rod Williams, Ronald (Jennifer) Mylenek, Teresa Crews; grandchildren, Shannon, Bobby, Sheila, Clint, Derek, Eric, Katie, Jamie, Jennifer several great and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry Smith, Diane (Carl) Weaver, Beverly Brady, Guy Jr. (Bonnie) Bruce; Terry Bruce; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ron was preceded in death by a son Steven Williams, grandchildren, Edwin and Kaaine; his mother, Eula Bruce, grandmother, Minnie Cates and nephew, Donnie Joe Newman. Ron was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from HyLift. He was a member of the Eagles and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, fishing and riding his motorcycle. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Shoreline Memorial Services, Muskegon Chapel, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Crissie's House of Recovery, 310 North Main, Beebe, Arkansas 72012.
