Emil M. Carlson's Obituary
Mr. Emil M. Carlson, age 91, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Emil was born in Muskegon on March 24, 1924 to the late Hans and Marguerite (Lebesq) Carlson. On December 10, 1949 he was married to Doris M. (Nelson) Carlson and they were married for 64 years until her passing in November of 2014. Emil was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving during World War II. He worked for Clark Floor Machine's for many years before retirement. Emil is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandra Carlson, of Norton Shores, Marvin (Shirley) Nelson, of LeRoy, MI, Elaine Baker, of Grand Rapids, Isabel Ochs and Jackie Spence, both of LeRoy, MI; special friends, John and Rose Swinburne, of Norton Shores. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project.
