Erik G. Mason's Obituary
Erik Gordon Mason age 42 was born on January 3, 1976 in Gaylord, Michigan and passed away on November 10, 2018. Erik is survived by his mother, Gaye (Michael) Nieboer; fiancé, Shiann Hall; children, Erik James "lil Erik", Isaiah Anthony Ra, Laila Raine, Aubrey Lynn, and Alaina Grace; brother, Christian John Deal; sisters, Charity (Craig) Hutchins, and Nikki (Darren) Vilminot; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and the "Mis-Fit Family". Erik was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Douglas and Audrey King. Erik worked for Welch Tile and Marble, he was an avid sports fan who had a love of music and his children. Erik loved life and had a fantastic sense of humor, a beautiful smile that could light up a room. He was a wonderful son, brother, fiancé and a great Dad. He lived hard, played hard, and loved deeply. He will never be forgotten. His own tattoo stated "Death is for certain. Life is not". So, none of us should take tomorrow for granted. Erik made a decision to become a donor for Gift of Life Michigan. So, to honor Erik and his gift,
a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Shoreline Memorial Services Chapel, 137 E. Laketon Ave. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a time of sharing starting at 2:30 p.m.
