Evelyn B. Schutter's Obituary
Evelyn B. Schutter (Witham), went to be with her Lord February 26, 2014 with loving family beside her. Evelyn was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 19, 1917 to the late August L and Celeste M (Swartz) Witham. She grew up in Muskegon and married Glenn E. Schutter on June 7, 1934 at Fellowship Reformed Church, and they had eight children together. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sons, David, Walter, and Stephen; and other family members including her first grandson in 2011; her sister Marguerite L. (Witham) Walbridge in 2010. Evelyn is survived by three daughters, and two sons, Charlotte Fisher, Barbara Perez and Glen Schutter, Jr. all of Muskegon, Karen (Ed) Keller of California, and Paul (Sandra) Schutter, of Mesa, Arizona; also surviving her are 25 grandchildren; 80 known great-grandchildren; and a record 72 great-great-grandchildren of which 61 were five generations that are known of, and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn has a large family that loved her dearly and will miss her. Evelyn was retired from the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, NV, preceding that she was a bartender, waitress and ranch cook. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Twin Lake Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses or to Harbor Hospice.
