Gary N. Smith's Obituary
Gary Neal Smith, age 52, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born in Muskegon on July 16, 1970 to James and Karen Smith. Gary is survived by his parents; son, Ben and stepson, Sam; siblings, Rebecca (Brian) Kaufman and Carl (Ashley) Smith; nephews, Kyle, Ryan, Evan and Alex Kaufman; former wife, Kim.Gary had previously worked as a paramedic with ProMed and had served as a firefighter with Norton Shores Fire Department. Gary was currently working for Robot Logistics.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2250 Denmark Street in Muskegon, with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. As a tribute to Gary, Cubs apparel is encouraged at the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to cover expenses. Checks may be made payable to James Smith.A special thank you to all those of you who have prayed for, encouraged, and supported our family during this difficult time. God is good all the time.
