Gene Allen De Boer's Obituary
Gene Allen De Boer, age 67 was born on June 10, 1958, in Holland, Michigan to the late Willis and Juliet (Poll) De Boer and passed away on March 3, 2026. Gene is survived by his wife of nearly 24 years, Bonnie; daughter, Heather (Paul) Dees; three grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, and Jasper; one great-granddaughter, Clover; a sister, brother; several nieces and nephews, many special friends, and “bonus brother”, Bill Flaska.
Gene retired from the Michigan Department of Corrections after 20 years of service, then retired from Leppinks, after another 20 years of service working as a butcher. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
