George Michael Kops' Obituary
Mr. George Michael Kops, age 65, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his home in Holton, MI. with his daughter Spring, at his bedside. He was born February 22, 1959, to Frederick "Fritz" Kops and Lillian (McGruther) Roth and lived in the Muskegon area all his life.
George was a lifelong drywaller by trade. He made many friends in the industry and worked almost every day of his adulthood life until his body couldn't take it anymore. George loved spending time with his father working in the barn/mill in Holton. George kept pictures of his 4 grandchildren tacked to his wall just above his nightstand and adored all of them.
George is survived by his mother, Lillian Roth of Muskegon; his father, Fritz (Linda) Kops of Holton; daughter Spring (Jeremy) Maycroft of Whitehall; grandson Bailey Vuurens of Muskegon; granddaughter Aryanna Maycroft of Lansing; daughter Nicole Bugajski; granddaughter Katalina Kops; grandson Landon Kops; 1 sister, Lillian Kops of Scottsdale Arizona; 2 half-sisters, Amy Kops and Loretta Kops of Holton; 1 brother, Robert Kops of Arizona
George was preceded in death by his brother Michael Kops; stepfathers, Floyd Perysian and Norman Roth; and very good friend Randy Wynn. To honor George's request, cremation will take place and no formal funeral service will be held.
