Gerald Lynn Hilton's Obituary
Gerald Lynn Hilton, age 81, passed away on August 15, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on March 17, 1943, to the late Kermit Hilton and Mildred Hunter in Ludington Michigan. Gerald proudly served in the U.S Navy for several years and went on to have a successful career as an electrical engineer, retiring from General Dynamics. Gerald loved to travel and had a passion for photography and videography. He spent much of his time researching and tinkering on his computer, always striving for the best equipment and technology. Despite growing up with limited resources, Gerald made sure to have the best of the best, often in multiple quantities. When it came to food, he had a simple favorite, steak and roasted potatoes. He always had to have the biggest steak he could find. His sweetness of choice was chocolate and of course the largest he could find.
Gerald loved his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Barbara G. Hilton whom he shared a life with for 40 years; daughter, Michele (Jeremiah) Anderson; stepchildren, Gerry (Sheila) Crenno, Cathy (Rob) Crenno, Gregg (Becky) Crenno; grandchildren Jenafer Knapp, Miah Anderson, Alexis Anderson, Laura Moblo, and Eric Moblo; great grandchildren Emorie, Jaxson, Alivia, Aurora, Ellie, and Bryson; sister, Mary Ruhf. Along with his parents he was preceded in a brother, Pete Hilton; grandchildren Sabrina and Dakota Goosen.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
Daddy, it's your time now to sit on the moon and swing from the stars with your family. We love you so much.
