Gerald Wayne Jones' Obituary
The world lost a true warrior on Monday, June 12, 2023. Gerald Wayne "Denny" Jones, 78, passed away in Kinston, NC after moving there in the last 8 months.
Denny was born in Muskegon, Michigan on July 29, 1944, the son of Franklin Wayne and Vivian Ruth Jones. Denny lived in Muskegon and enjoyed scuba diving, boxing, fishing, spearfishing, hunting. Later in life, Denny moved to Fremont with his wife Beatrice, where the two raised their children. Denny, dealt with various health problems latter half of his life, but it never stopped him from enjoying fishing with his children and teaching his kids the value or hard work. His children and grandchildren loved sitting with him while his dogs lay on his lap, and he tell them stories of the "Good ole Days." He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Jones; sons, Bryan, Michael (Patricia), Todd (Cassidy), and Brad (Sara) Jones; daughters, Heather (Adam) Seiber, Kimberlee Gardei, and Denise (Mitch) McDonald. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Denny is preceded in death by his brothers, Merle, George, and Michael Jones.
Visitation will be June 23, 2023, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Whitehall, Michigan, under the direction of Shoreline Memorial Services, 816 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, Michigan. Interment will be in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague, Michigan.
