Gerald James Kilmer's Obituary
Gerald James Kilmer, of Lakewood Club, was born in Joliet, Illinois on February 9, 1936, to the late James and Mary (Videtich) Kilmer and passed away on August 8, 2024. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On April 11, 1964, he married Mary Houtteman.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Kilmer; brothers, Richard, Ken (Angie), and Roger (Zoean) Kilmer; sister Maria Heisner; and many wonderful nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Ray and Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Lakewood Club. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery on Russell Road. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary of the Woods Maintenance Fund or the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
