Grace Ferrell's Obituary
Grace Ann Ferrell, age 97 was born on June 25, 1926, in Louisiana and passed away at home on July 24, 2023. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lenton Ferrell in 1985, and Josephine (Edgar) House. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins including her nephew, Jeffrey Vance who had been her caretaker for the past several years; also surviving are her step-daughter, Janice Hale, of Las Vegas; along with, Kary Roberson, of Muskegon Heights, Patricia Roberson (Charlie) Beasley and family, of Muskegon, Roger (Thersa) Roberson, of Muskegon Heights, Debra Roberson (Ivar) Spears, and family, of Muskegon, Donnita House, of Albany Georgia, Eddie House, of Battle Creek, goddaughter, Novila Brown, of Detroit; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers from Martel Home Care both, Vicki White and Maggie and her goddaughter, Yolanda Jordan.
Grace retired from Shaw Walker after many years of service, she loved the outdoors, especially her garden. She enjoyed sending cards to her loved ones, especially for birthdays and holidays. Grace served as an usher and was the Mother of New Hope Baptist Church located at 560 Yuba Street, Muskegon, Michigan were a Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Family Hour stating at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor D.W. Tolbert D.D. officiating.
