Guerrero Vasquez's Obituary
Guerrero "Jerry" Vasquez was born on March 4, 1943 to the late James and Josephine Vasquez, and passed away at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence on August 30, 2017 at the age of 74. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers James, Manuel, Mike, and Robert Vasquez, as well as sisters Mary Belmarez and Shirley Tindall. Jerry is survived by his sister Delores "Lolie" LeBaron (Frank LeBaron), his daughter Kristi Murray, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jerry was a member of the Heights Eagles and the Holton Bow and Gun Club. His passion for bench rest shooting led him to win countless awards, travel, and make many good friends. Generous, carrying, and with a corny sense of humor like no other, he touched the lives of everyone he met. He referred to Jazz music as "beautiful" and made decisions with his heart. He was fiercely independent and stubborn to the core, which only made you love him more. He was a special mix of pride and humility. There will never be anyone quite like him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Holton Bow and Gun Club, 6201 East Crystal Lake Rd, Holton, MI 49425 in the club-house from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. We ask if you have any photos of Jerry to please bring them to share. Thank you.
