Herbert D. Harrington, II's Obituary
Herbert D. Harrington II "Herbie" went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2018 at Agape Home at Blueberry Fields where he had been a resident since 2012 . He was born June 19, 1941 in Saginaw, MI to Bertha (Culver) and Herbert D. Harrington. His mother passed away when he was three and he came to Muskegon to live with his grandparents while his father was in the Navy. After his father was discharged from the Navy and married Evelyn Hanson they continued to live in Muskegon where his brothers and sisters were born and raised. One of his proudest accomplishments was when he received his GED (even though he was mentally disabled). He just kept going back until he finally passed all the tests. He worked part time at Plumb's Groceries, George Morrell Corp., and Fazio's Restaurant . He loved playing bingo, working on small craft projects and looking through books and magazines. He was preceded in death by both parents, his stepmother Evelyn (Hanson) Harrington and his brother Robert Harrington. He leaves behind 3 siblings, Cheryl (Ray) Miller, William (Donita) Harrington and Frances Harrington along with many nieces and nephews. His ashes will be interred with his grandparents Louis and Dorothy Harrington at Oakwood Cemetery.
