Jack Richard Kolbe's Obituary
Jack Kolbe, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on September 20, 2024, in Muskegon, Michigan at the age of 87. Jack was born on June 1, 1937, to the late Albert William Kolbe and Ruth Beatrice Erickson in Muskegon. He had six siblings, Charles, Lyle, Max, Donald, Shirley and David.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army as a guided missile crewman for two years. In 1963 he married his love, Mary Kathryn Shumsky-Korson and together they raised three children, Martha, Mary, and Matthew.
Jack enjoyed woodworking, bowling, camping, and all things trains and tractors. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always ready with a joke or a story to make everyone smile.
Jack leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to his family, including his cherished five grandchild and three great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who know him.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3306 located at 2355 W. Sherman Blvd. Norton Shores, Michigan 49441.
