Jean Martha Wimmer's Obituary
Jean (Kinnucan) Wimmer, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at age 72 in her hometown of Muskegon, Michigan on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, after a day spent surrounded by close family and showered with love and affirmation.
Born August 12, 1949 in Muskegon, Jean lived a full life unceasingly devoted to her family. She married Daniel Wimmer in 1968 and they raised their two children near the lakeshore. Above all things, she valued quality time spent with those she held close. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, time spent in nature, jigsaw puzzles, card games, and cross stitch. She was kind, compassionate, warm, welcoming, sweet, and sassy, and her smile was contagious. A devout Christian, there is no doubt in our hearts that she is with God and resting easy in heaven.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia (Judy) Kinnucan, and her brothers Julian "Butch" Kinnucan and Jerry Kinnucan.
She is survived by her dear husband of 53 years, Daniel Wimmer, her daughter Amy Wimmer, her son Scott Wimmer (and daughter-in-law Darla Wimmer), her three grandchildren, Cody Wimmer, Samantha Breen (and son-in-law Michael Erickson), and Tyler Wimmer, and her great-grandson, Theodore Wimmer. She is also survived by siblings Jack Kinnucan (and sister-in-law Nola Kinnucan), Janet Novak, and Jillene Race (and brother-in-law George Race), and many other additional family members and friends who loved her greatly. Her spirit will carry on in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at Shoreline Memorial Services, 137 E. Laketon Ave. Muskegon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon until the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Norton Cemetery.
