Jerry A. Siminski's Obituary
Jerry A. Siminski, age 83 was born June 12, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Harry and Lucille Siminski and passed away at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence on July 24, 2025 after a long battle with Cancer and Alzhemer's Disease. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years Nancy and sons Mark Siminski and Shawn (Jennifer) Siminski; 4 grandchildren, Adam Siminski and his sons Tyler, Jeramiah and Josiah, Mark (Katelyn) Siminski II and daughter Adeline, Lindsey (Jimmy) Daldos and children Aundrea, James, Jaxon and Jasper; and Kisewaa Siminski, brothers-in -law, Jim Rosendall and Don (Sue) Rosendall; and many good friends.
Jerry joined the United States Navy in September of 1960. He was discharged in 1963 and continued his education at Grand Rapids Community College and Grand Valley University. He was employed by the City of Grand Rapids in the Human Resources Dept. He then became Human Resources Director for Kent County and later was employed by Amway Corp in the Human Resource Dept. He retired from Amway Corp. in 1999. In December or 2000, Jerry and Nancy moved to Muskegon to be near Lake Michigan. Jerry was on the board for the Harbour Towne HOA and served as president for several years. He was also a long- time member of the Michigan Anglers and served on the board. He also volunteered for Harbor Hospice for several years. Jerry was an outdoors guy and loved hunting and fishing.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Silversides Museum Channel Room, 1346 Bluff Street, Muskegon, MI 49441, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Memorial Contribution may be directed to Harbor Hospice Foundation, 400 West Western Ave. Muskegon, Michigan or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Bo 1640, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741.
