Jimmy L. Smith's Obituary
Jimmy L. Smith, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at home. He was born on August 10, 1949 in Jasper, AL to George and Mary Frances Smith.
Jimmy is survived by his three children, James (Tori) Smith of Grand Haven, Jennifer (William) Schippers of Spring Lake and Jamie (Josh) Baldus of Spring Lake; 9 grandchildren, Felishia and Dakota Smith; William Jr, Elizabeth and Johnathon Schippers, Avery, Alex, Ashlee and Adam Eldred; brother, Michael (Angie) Damouth of Dowagiac, MI and sister, Susan Damouth of GA; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Mildred Drent of Spring Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife of 37 years, Joni Smith and by a sister, Marcia Ann Smith.
Jimmy was an avid collector who enjoyed spending time at flea markets and playing his guitar.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
