John D. Ferguson, Sr. of Muskegon Heights, age 73 was born on August 4, 1941 and passed away at his home with his niece Darlene Alexander and her family. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ann Ferguson; his mother Emma Asbury; sisters, Dorothy Hawkins, Clara Johnson, Celestine Lindsey; brothers, Ray Ferguson, Patrick Ferguson, Willie Ferguson, Charles Ferguson, Wesley King and Samuel Johnson. John is survived by three children, Eric Todd Ezell, John D. Ferguson, Jr., and Staci-Renee' Ferguson; grandchildren, Mya S. Ferguson and Silas D. Hampton, III; brother, Alfratz Ferguson, Sr. and Lillie "Rita"? Snyder; two brothers-in-law and a sister in law; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. John was a member of the UAW #235 of Detroit, Michigan and was retired from General Motors in Hamtramck, Michigan. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Cantrell Funeral Home, 10400 Mack Ave., Detroit, Michigan 48214
