John Emil Kriesel's Obituary
John Emil Kriesel, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, age 74 was born in Muskegon on April 6, 1949, to the late Emil and Mary (Wilson) Kriesel and passed away peacefully, at home on November 22, 2023. John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cathie; children Jeffrey Kriesel, Jeremy (Jeneen Hislop) Kriesel, Joshua (Emily Bronsink) Kriesel, and Jolie (Ted) Cooper; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: a sister, Loreli Kravako; brother-in-law, Steven (Tammy) Biddle. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Susan (Burns) Kriesel; a son Jay Kriesel; sister, Nancy Barrett; and brother-in-law, Harry Kravako.
John is a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Boilermaker from Local #169. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. John was a member of the Don Rea VFW Post #8846, 1061 Witham Road, North Muskegon where a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m. Military Honor for John will begin at 2:30 p.m.
