Joseph R. Thompson Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph "Joe"? Thompson Sr. age 69 passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2016. Joe was born on April 23, 1947 in Wayne, Michigan to the late Wallace and Martha Thompson. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three siblings, Charlotte Fitzsimmons, Mike Pedigo, and George Thompson. Joe is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Karen Thompson; son, Joseph (Lisa) Thompson Jr.; three grandchildren, Ella, Carson and Cole; four siblings, Alec Thompson, Christopher Thompson, Darlene Scheffler, and Patricia Osiecki; several nieces and nephews. Joe retired from Mona Shores Public Schools, but continued to work part time jobs while staying active in retirement. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Noah Project.
