Kenneth C. Tenhopen's Obituary
Kenneth Charles Tenhopen, age 85, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born in Grand Rapids on September 29, 1933 to Clarence and Mildred Tenhopen. Ken is survived by his children, Bryan (Tina) Tenhopen of Fruitport, Sean Tenhopen of Cheboygan, MI, Chad Tenhopen of Cheboygan, MI and Brett Tenhopen of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Valerie (Daniel) DeVoogd of Grand Rapids, Joann and Denise; brother, Gary Tenhopen of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Tenhopen; by his parents; by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Ken had worked as a machinist at Oliver Company of Grand Rapids some years ago. He was a Golden Gloves Lightweight Champion Boxer.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 4
