Kent Stephen Eistedt's Obituary
Kent (Buck) Eistedt, age 77, passed away suddenly on July 13, 2026, at his home.
He leaves behind his wife, Judy (Braeckeveldt) Eistedt and two sons, Stephen (Christina) Eistedt, Grandchildren: Felisia, Stephenie, Stephen, Samantha, Tandra plus ten great grandchildren and son Christopher (Lisa) Eistedt, Grandchildren: Ashley, Aenjel, Nikki plus 5 great grandchildren as well as a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Sherry Braeckeveldt and their family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan William and Vivian Mae (Ernwall) Eistedt: his in laws, Cyril and Angie (Rozeboom) Braeckeveldt and his brother-in-law Athur Braeckeveldt.
He was born in Muskegon on September 9, 1948, and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1966. Kent enjoyed his years as a Big Red football player and continued to support the Big Reds for years after graduation.
He received his Associate Degree in drafting and engineering from Muskegon Community College in 1968. Kent and Judy were married on August 8, 1970, enjoying 56 years together. He was employed at Dresser Industries designing cranes and then moved on to Breneman, Inc. as a Supervisor/superintendent, retiring in September 2010. Kent was a very social person and was active as a 50 plus year member of the Viking Linne’ Lodge #57 and lifelong (social) member of Lakeside Veteran’s Club. He was proud of his family and their accomplishments and enjoyed his time at his property up North with his family and friends and his faithful companion, Amie, his Labrador Retriever. He had many good friends through school, work, camping, golfing, car shows and driving his 2003, 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette he called “Hot Red”. He always said he had a great life and many special friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Viking Lodge, 3132 Lakeshore Drive in Muskegon.
